Investment program

Investment program

Today the company “Quadra – Power Generation” is on a new stage of its development. The company implements a large-scale investment program which stipulates construction of almost 1000 MW of new capacity for the period before the year 2018 within the framework of the obligations towards the government in accordance with the capacity supply agreements.

New electric power plants of the company have been built applying the modern energy efficient gas and steam technologies. Six new electric power plants of 532 MW in total capacity have already been generating electricity and heat in Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Kaluga, Livny (Orel Region) and Novomoskovsk (Tula Region).

Two remaining construction projects are in the process of implementation currently – GSU (gas steam units) in Alexin (Tula Region) and Voronezh – their total capacity is 338 MW. Owing to the implementation of the investment program, the company will renovate more than 30% of generating capacities.

2014-2018

Construction of GSU-115 MW at the Dyagilev HPP (heat power plant) (Ryazan Region)

The project stipulates for the construction of GSU 115 MW at the Dyagilev HPP; the GSU will have two gas turbine units SGT-800 made by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB of 45 MW in capacity, steam turbine generating plant SST-400 made by Siemens, s.r.o., odstepny zavod Industrial Turbomachinery Siemens of 38.5 MW in capacity, two waste heat boilers PK-83 made by JSC “Podolsk Machine Building Plant”, 3 booster compressor plants and gas purification unit made by Eltacon.

As a result of the project implementation, the installed electric capacity of the plant equaled 238.5 MW. The specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity supply – 258 g/kWh (before the expansion, it was 334 g/kWh).

The facility was put into operation in December 2016.

Construction of GSU-115 MW at the Alexin HPP (Tula Region)

The project stipulates for the construction of GSU 115 MW at the Alexin HPP; the GSU will have two gas turbine units SGT-800 made by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB of 45 MW in capacity, steam turbine generating plant SST-400 made by Siemens, s.r.o., odstepny zavod Industrial Turbomachinery Siemens of 38.5 MW in capacity, two waste heat boilers PK-83 made by JSC “Podolsk Machine Building Plant”, 3 booster compressor plants and gas purification unit made by Eltacon.

The construction of GSU-115 together with installation of the heating gas and steam unit is stipulated in order to enhance generation of electricity in the cogeneration mode based on the implementation of the high-efficient gas and steam technology, improvement of the competitive ability of the HPP products in the market economy conditions.

As a result of the project implementation, the installed electric capacity of the plant will grow more than twice to 230.5 MW. The planned growth of electricity supply will increase more than 4 times. At the same time, the specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity supply at the new energy facility will be 235.0 g/kWh, which is almost twice as low as at the currently operating equipment.

The implementation time – quarter 2, 2018.

Construction of GSU-223 MW at Voronezh HPP-1 (Voronezh Region)

The project stipulates for the construction of GSU 223 MW at Voronezh HPP-1; the GSU will have four gas turbine units LM6000 PD Sprint made by General Electric of 45.295 MW in capacity, two steam turbine units PT-25/34-3,4/1,3, four waste heat boilers PK-95 made by JSC “Podolsk Machine Building Plant”.

As a result of the project implementation, considering the plans of decommissioning the outmoded generating equipment, the efficiency of the plant will grow materially as a whole. For example, the specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity supply of Voronezh HPP-1 will be reduced by more than 100 gef (grams of equivalent fuel)/kWh and equal nearby 230 gef/kWh.

2013

Construction of GTU-30 MW at the Livny HPP (Orel Region)

The reconstruction project of the Livny HPP stipulates for the construction of GTU (gas turbine unit) of 30 MW in capacity based on the gas turbine LM-2500+G4 made by General Electric and waste heat boiler of type KUP-55-3,9-440 made by the plant “Energomash” (Belgorod).

As a result of the reconstruction, the yearly electricity supply of the Livny HPP will exceed 261 mn kWh. At the same time, the specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity generation will be reduced against the indices of the currently operating equipment of the Livny HPP from 561.4 g/kWh to 207.2 g/kWh, and for heat generation – from 164.5 to 161.45 kg/Gcal.

The general contractor – CJSC “Energoproekt”, Moscow.
The cost of the investment project was RUR 1.9 bn.
The facility was put into operation in February of 2013.

Construction of GSU-190 MW at the Novomoskovsk SDPS (state district power plant) (Tula Region)

The project stipulates for the construction of GSU of 190 MW in capacity at the Novomoskovsk SDPS; the GSU will have a gas turbine unit of type PG9171E made by General Electric, steam turbine SST-600 made by Siemens in a complete set with a generator and auxiliary equipment, and waste heat boiler of type Е-186/39-7,5/0,7-515/229 (P-142) made by JSC “Machine Building Plant ZIO-Podolsk.”

As a result of the project implementation, the installed electric capacity of the plant will grow almost twice to 451 MW. The planned growth of electricity supply will be more than fourfold. At the same time, the specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity supply at the new energy facility will be 221.9 g/kWh, which is 2 times lower than using the currently operating equipment.

The cost of the project was RUR 7.6 bn.
The general contractor – CJSC “Energokaskad”.
The facility was put into operation in February 2013.

2011

Construction of GSU-115 MW at the boiler house of the North-West District of Kursk (Kursk Region)

The project stipulates for the construction of 115 MW GSU based on two gas turbine units LM 6000 SPRINT made by American company General Electric, two waste heat steam boilers made by JSC “Podolsk Machine Building Plant” and steam turbine made by Kaluga Turbine Plant, with a generator. As a result of the reconstruction, its installed electric capacity will be 115 MW, the heat one – 100 Gcal/hour.

The plant will generate 817.7 mn kWh. The thermal energy supply from collectors will equal 831.8 thous. Gcal per year. The specific fuel consumption of thermal energy will fall from 155.1 to 146.3 g/kWh.

The general contractor – JSC “Group E4.”
The project cost was RUR 4.4 bn.
The facility was put into operation in June 2011

Construction of GTU-30 MW at the Kaluga HPP (Kaluga Region)

The reconstruction project of the Kaluga HPP stipulates for the construction of GTU of 30 MW in capacity on the basis of the gas turbine unit made by American company GE, waste heat steam boiler made by LLC “Scientific Production Association Barnaul Plant of Boiler Equipment” (BZKO) and booster compressor plant made by Swiss firm ENERPROJECT SA.

When the new gas turbine is put into operation, the plant total capacity will grow up to 43 MW. The use of the modern steam and gas technologies will allow the Kaluga HPP to reduce significantly the specific fuel consumption and shorten production cost of thermal energy.

The total cost of the project was RUR 1.7 bn.
The facility was put into operation in May 2011.

2010

Construction of GSU-115 MW at Voronezh HPP-2 (Voronezh Region)

The reconstruction project of Voronezh HPP-2 stipulates for the construction of GSU 115 MW on the basis of two gas turbines LM6000 PD Sprint made by General Electric, steam turbine PT-25/34-3,4/1,2 manufactured by Kaluga Turbine Plant, and two waste heat boilers of type KUP-75-3,9-440 made by Ukrainian plant “Yuzhtrans.”

As a result of the reconstruction, Voronezh HPP-2 will produce more than 750 mn kWh of electricity per year. At the same time, specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity production will fall against the indices of the currently operating equipment of Voronezh HPP-2 from 419.2 g/kWh to 205.7 g/kWh, for heat production – from 168.9 to 161.2 kg/Gcal.

The investment project cost was nearby RUR 4 bn.
The facility was put into operation in October 2010.

2009

Construction of GSU-52 MW at the Elets HPP (Lipetsk Region)

GSU-52 MW of the Elets HPP includes two gas turbine machines of type GTU-20С (each of 20 MW) made by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “MMPP Salyut”, two waste heat steam boilers and one steam turbine of 12 MW.

As a result of the plant reconstruction, electricity generation grew: from 55 to 350 mn kWh/year. The specific fuel consumption fell: regarding electricity supply – from 474 g/kWh to 210 g/kWh, regarding heat supply – from 161 kg/Gcal to 145 kg/Gcal.

The GSU-52 construction investment project cost was RUR 1.4 bn.
The facility was put into operation in May 2009.
