“Quadra” Will Hold Test Launch of Gas Turbine of New GSU-115 MW at Alexin HPP

PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” completes installation works at the new power unit of Alexin HPP. The company began preparing one of the gas turbines to the trial launch, which is scheduled for February.

“We have finished cleaning of the lubrication and hydraulic lifting system of the first turbine of GSU-115MW (gas steam unit). This procedure is the final step in checking the readiness of the main equipment for operation, and quality of installation,” Deputy General Director for capital construction of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” Denis Ulanov explained.

Now the energy specialists complete an inspection of the auxiliary equipment of the new GSU. Besides, the adjustment of the electrical equipment of switchgears of 6 kV and 0.4 kV to supply voltage is held.

Drafting of documentation for supply of fuel to GSU, and electricity required for its operation started.

The project of construction of GSU-115 MW is included in the investment program of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” and is implemented under capacity supply agreements (CSAs). After completion of the project, the installed electrical capacity of the Alexin HPP will increase by 115 MW to 177 MW, the installed heat capacity will increase by 90 Gcal/h to 240 Gcal/h. Thanks to the commissioning of GSU-115 MW, the Alexin HPP will produce nearby 890 million kWh of electricity a year.
