The Belgorod branch of “Quadra – Power Generation” has allocated RUB 48 m for the repairs of a turbine generator of 30 MW in capacity at HPP Luch.

“We carefully monitor the condition of our equipment and carry out repairs in a timely manner in order to ensure reliable and efficient operation of heat sources,” said Victor Gorlov, Chief Engineer of the Belgorod Branch of “Quadra – Power Generation.”

The equipment was sent to a specialized enterprise in Rostov-on-Don for repairs. Now the specialists have already completed the works on the generator rotor. The stator (the stationary part of the generator) is going through the complete replacement of winding; vacuum impregnation using special varnish will be the final stage.

HPP Luch was commissioned in 2005. The installed electric capacity is 60 MW, installed heat capacity is 60 Gcal/h. Together with the boiler plant Yuzhnaya, the plant provides heat and hot water to consumers of the Kharkovskaya Gora of Belgorod.
