“Quadra – Power Generation” has completed the overhaul of the gas stem unit of 190 MW in capacity at the Novomoskovsk SDPS. The cost of the work exceeded RUB 220 m.

“Such an overhaul is carried out when the GSU unit has operated more than 50 thousand hours,” explained Sergey Finkelstein, Chief Engineer of the branch of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” –“Central Generation.” “All the works held will increase the level of technological reliability and efficiency of the station equipment, and hence the quality of heat supply to our consumers.”

Within two months, the specialists replaced the moving and guide vanes of the hot section of gas turbine No. 8 of 131.75 MW in capacity, and carried out borescope inspection of the turbine generator.

The energy engineers repaired the steam turbine of 55.9 MW in capacity (this required opening the cylinder of the unit and offstreaming the rotor). During the work held on the waste-heat boiler of the GSU of 225 t/h in output rate, the gas ducts and shutoff valves were repaired. Besides, as part of the overhaul, the GSU cooling tower and auxiliary equipment of the energy unit were repaired.
