The Efremov HPP of the Central Branch of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” has started the overhaul of turbine No. 6 of 60 MW in capacity. The company will allocate RUB 13.7 m for these purposes.

The energy engineers will replace the elements of the flow part of the turbine unit, and repair the control and steam distribution system. The specialists will also repair the condenser, auxiliary equipment and regeneration system with metal test of end-winding rings of the unit.

“The overhaul is carried out when the operating time of the turbine unit reaches 34 thousand hours, and allows to restore its technical characteristics. The works which are held will improve the reliability of equipment operation, and hence the reliability of power supply to consumers, which is our main goal,” noted Sergey Finkelstein, Chief Engineer of the branch of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” – “Central Generation.”

The Efremov HPP provides heat to 90% of the city residential stock, and supplies heat and steam to large enterprises of the special industrial zone – the territory of advanced social and economic development (TASED), which was created in Efremov. The installed electric capacity of the power plant is 135 MW; the installed heat capacity is 436 Gcal/h.
