The Lipetsk and Belgorod Regions have become fifth and seventh in the rating of efficiency of heat supply systems of the Russian Federation residential settlements. The positions of the Voronezh (+22 points) and Tambov (+8 points) Regions improved materially.
“This rating has become a motivation driver enabling to assess the collaborative work with the regional authorities, which brings such results,” noted Semyon Sazonov, General Director of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation” at the rating presentation held within the framework of Russian Energy Week. He also stressed that the rating accentuated that “the investments made during the past three years in the grid complex were efficient.”
In this way, in 2018, the company “Quadra – Power Generation” increased investments in the renovation of the heat grid complex and generating facilities by almost a billion, and the total amount of funding in the current year was RUB 5.5 bn. For the past three years, the number of emergencies in heat grids fell. For example, during the heating season of 2017/2018, 114 incidents were registered in the main pipelines in the regions attended by the company – this is by almost 30% lower than for the similar period of 2015–2016 and by 10% lower than during the AWP 2016–2017.
The heat supply efficiency rating is formed by Russia’s Ministry of Energy together with the Russian Federation constituent entities and the community of experts. The rating assesses the authorities’ efforts as to the creation of favorable conditions for the safe emergency-free heat supplies, reduction in fuel consumption, heat losses, application of modern technologies in heat grids and in consumers’ facilities, actualization of heat supply schemes and implementation of the actions stipulated by the scheme. Besides, the rating is aimed to identify and spread best practices of the heat supply systems management and introduction of modern technologies in the heat supply sector.
